I was born in Green Bay and raised in rural Wisconsin (Kiel), the only child of my Japanese dad and Polish/Swedish mom. In retrospect, being the only Asian in a small community caused me to cling to creative expression. Being an only child motivated me to be introspective.

I currently live in St. Paul, MN with my beautiful wife Robbie. I'm a designer by trade, and a painter by night. I'm an active student of theology and I stay involved in related volunteer Bible education efforts. I have a passion for understanding.
