Artwork
Most of the male artists I know started with the same ideals of severed heads and comic monsters. But when I was just hitting my teens, a family friend took me to an art store in nearby Milwaukee and supplied me with what I would need to start painting. He took the time to teach me mixing and application techniques. I'm very grateful. By highschool, I was begining to identify myself as an 'artist'. My teacher, Mr. James Berens, invested himself in promoting my fellow students and I in local and national art competitions. We owe him so much. By his efforts, painting has now become an important outlet for me. I live and work out of a studio in St. Paul. To the right are few of my recent pieces. MN Artists.org info |
